Together with your team you consult a variety of banks and insurance companies in helping them to master a new business reality where firms reform their business model as well as legal and organizational structure in order to respond to regulatory requirements but simultaneously stay focused on providing high class services while pursuing opportunities for profitable growth. Emergency plans have to be drawn up and constantly reviewed in response to regulatory requirements. For their part, the regulatory authorities need to be provided with proof of the feasibility of these plans and that financial institutions are in a position to implement them. In addition, striking a healthy balance between regulatory resolution planning and orientating the global firm structure for optimal service provisioning and profiting from emerging growth opportunities will be a key element in adding value to your clients. You will view any collaboration with international financial institutions together with periods of travel as job enrichment.
The successful candidate is an energetic person with a sound education and practical experience of executing bank resolutions and/or extensive experience of resolution planning at a G-SIFI bank or renowned regulator coupled with resolution-relevant regulation experience at FINMA, FED or PRA/BOE level. Core requirements also include a thorough understanding of risk-relevant regulation such as Basel 3, EMIR, CRD IV as well as outstanding communication and leadership skills. Very high quality standards, an enquiring mind as well as a positive, hands-on attitude are also essential.
