Controller for China Operations

you will report directly to the Head of Group Controlling and support the company's subsidiaries in China in financial, legal and tax issues. Your main tasks will encompass the analysis of the monthly financial statements including the cost accounting. Furthermore you are in charge of the review of the cash planning and have to ensure that the subsidiaries comply with the Group's accounting policies according to IFRS as well as with Chinese GAAP. You will also be involved in the yearly budgeting process. In case of an acquisition one of your key tasks will be the active participation in implementing SAP FI/CO as well as the support of the local people in preparing the monthly reporting in an efficient, timely and accurate way. The position requires traveling to China of about 20-30 % of your working time.

You should have a recognized business qualification (university degree in economics, CPA, qualified accountant with MBA or equivalent), 3-5 years experience in financial accounting and/or operational controlling, preferably with an international Audit Company. Ideally you have knowledge of Chinese GAAP, a sound understanding of business performance analysis and exposure to front-line accounting in a subsidiary. Excellent knowledge of English and Chinese are an absolute prerequisite. The person we seek is an open-minded, proactive financial coach with excellent communication skills who is familiar with the Chinese culture and is able to interface with local and senior management.
